Nadia Douglas grew up in Central Florida after relocating from The Bronx, New York with her family. As a Florida Bright Futures Medallion Scholar, she attended University of Central Florida where she received her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science as well as a minor in Legal Studies.
Nadia received her J.D. at Barry University School of Law where she held several leadership roles, including Student Bar Association Senator and Executive Board member of Immigration Legal Society and Christian Legal Society. She attained Book Awards in Motions and Depositions, Trial Advocacy, and Law Office Practice.
While pursuing her studies, Nadia worked for family law and business litigation firms, where she handled drafting pleadings, motions and discovery before joining a large defense firm in Maitland, Florida. During this time, she represented some of the largest insurance carriers within the State, gaining extensive experience defending property damage claims including mold remediation, water mitigation, fraud, sinkhole, hurricane, and plumbing claims.
Nadia is admitted to practice in all State and Federal courts throughout Florida and her primary practice area is first-party property. Whenever Nadia is not acting as an attorney, she is actively involved within the community and her Sorority, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated. She also enjoys visiting museums, traveling, and spending time with her daughter.
